Touch2TXT brings full 2-way TXT messaging to the iPod Touch

Tuesday 12 February, 2008.
Auckland, New Zealand

Bulletin.Net's newly launched Touch2TXT service has received instant success as one of the most popular applications for the Apple iPod Touch.

Touch2TXT is the world's first 2-way SMS service tailored for the iPod Touch. When an iPod Touch user is connected to a WiFi access point they can now send and receive SMS messages to any mobile phone. This exciting service brings cellphone-like messaging to the iPod Touch device.

On 5 February, Touch2TXT was made available as a download on the Apple site. Without any additional promotion, Touch2TXT has already become one of the top ten most popular application downloads for the iPod Touch or the iPhone.

During MacWorld 2008 in San Francisco, Bulletin.Net did a preview launch its SMS product for the iPod Touch. From the great feedback that was received during MacWorld, Bulletin.Net has now launched Touch2TXT.

Touch2TXT utilizes Bulletin.Net's patented mTAG™ technology which enables multiple SMS conversation threads between mobile phones and computing devices. mTAG™ guarantees replies are routed correctly to the originating message thread.

Bulletin.Net's President, Bruce Herbert, adds that "The success of Touch2TXT has been made possible by Bulletin.Net's ongoing research and development into new messaging platforms. Bulletin's global messaging infrastructure and core mTAG™ technology has enabled Bulletin.net to uniquely offer the ability to send AND receive messages from the iPod Touch"

Bulletin's Touch2TXT product is available with no setup fee and no fixed monthly fee. Additionally Bulletin.Net is offering the first 100 SMS messages free for registrations prior to 29 February 2008.
