List of Account Service Providers/ Email Clients

Outlook

  1. Go to "Tools" in the top menu
  2. Click on "Account Settings"
  3. Double click on the name of the account you wish to use
  4. The Email server IP address is the one designated for your 'Incoming Mail'. It will look something like POP@NNNNNN.COM
  5. You should also be able to find your ID or USERNAME here too. It will also contain Your Password in asterisk form **********

ThunderBird

  1. Go to "Edit" in the top menu
  2. Click on "Account Settings"
  3. Select "Server Settings" under the account you wish to use
  4. The 'Server Name' is the one designated for your 'Incoming Mail'. It will look something like xxx.nnnnn.COM
  5. You should also be able to find your ID or USERNAME here too.

Evolution

  1. Go to "Edit" in the top menu
  2. Click on "Preferences"
  3. Select "Mail Accounts" and Double click on the name of the account you wish to use
  4. Click on "Recieving Email"
  5. The 'Server' is the one designated for your 'Incoming Mail'. It will look something like pop.nnnnn.COM
  6. You should also be able to find your ID or USERNAME here too.

Gmail

All you need to set up your account to poll Gmail is your username and password, we do the rest. Make sure you have selected Gmail in the dropdown list on the previous page.

Your username will be your email address i.e. xxxxx@gmail.com and your password is the password you choose when signing up for Gmail.

Note:
You will need to have POP downloading enabled. To do this follow these steps

  1. log into Gmail
  2. click the "Settings" link in the top right hand corner
  3. click the "forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab
  4. under "POP Download" select the "Enable POP for all mail" option
  5. save the changes

Yahoo! Mail

All you need to set up your account to poll Yahoo! Mail is your username and password, we do the rest. Make sure you have selected Yahoo! (Mail Plus) in the dropdown list on the previous page.

Your username will be your email address i.e. xxxxx@yahoo.com and your password is the password you choose when signing up for Yahoo.

Note:
You will POP Access enabled. To do this you will have to login to Yahoo! Mail Classic if you are logged into the new Yahoo! Mail click on the "Mail Classic" link in the top left hand corner then follow these steps.

  1. When you are logged into Yahoo! Mail Classic click the "Options" link in the left hand corner
  2. Click Mail in the side "Options" menu
  3. Under the "Management" Menu click on "POP Access and Forwarding"
  4. Select the "Web & POP Access" option
  5. Select either the "I don't want to receive any messages that SpamGuard thinks are spam" or "I want to receive all messages, including those that SpamGuard thinks are spam"
  6. Save the changes

Google Chat

When you have chosen the "Google Chat/Jabber (Any other XMPP chat)" option from the first page you will have to enter "Google Chat" in the "Unlisted Service Provider" Box. Then follow these instructions on how to get your connection details.

  1. Open your Google Talk client
  2. Click on your name and a pop out box will appear with the email address that you registered with down the bottom
  3. Your host name is everything after the "@" symbol. Everything before the "@" symbol is your Username
  4. Your password is the password you choose when you signed up to that account
